Some competition history in the 80s and 90s in France Including Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or and Rallye Lyon Charbonnières. Full steel body, rust free and reinforced, 4 points roll cage, LHD converted to RHD, racing 1100cc engine (comes with a pair of 948 to be rebuilt), ribbed case 1275 gearbox, quick (steering) rack, telescopic shock absorber conversion, works hard top, electricity wiring looms new. Need exhaust and some TLC.

WSM Sprite - Sanction 2

WSM Cars are continuing production of the WSM Sprite. Forty seven years after the first WSM was tested by designer Douglas Wilson-Spratt at a Silverstone track day, the construction of Sanction 2 (S2) fibreglass bodied cars has been given the designers blessing. Available as a turn key road (GT) and competition (Sprint) specification, or using the customer’s chassis to build on, the S2 cars will continue to reflect the weight saving philosophy and aerodynamic advantages incorporated in the classic design - the ‘Sprint’ version for example will replace the original steel wheel arches, bulkhead, footwell and boot floor with aluminium items.

The recently completed WSM 208 (pictured) illustrates the quality of fit and finish that will be supplied . The designers son Tony Wilson-Spratt said “One of the few things my father insisted on when we asked for his approval to build WSM’s, was that we adhere to his original mantra not to supply “kits” for enthusiasts to build their own. This is exactly how he worked in period and how he kept control of the build quality of each car bearing his name.”

Two S2’s have been ordered to date, and the designated chassis plates will be signed by the designer on completion. Important notice, WSM Sprites Sanction 2 will unfortunately not be eligible for "Equipe" GTS, as per regulations
